Sail across Drake’s Passage to Antarctica and back again

From January 19 to February 8, 2023, eight of us sailed the 100-foot ketch, North Sea dragger, Tecla, from Porto Williams, Chile, to the South Shetland Islands. We sailed south to the Palmer Penisula and on to Port Lockroy, the southernmost location of the voyage. We sailed five days south across the Drake and seven days north. The return voyage was longer because instead of 600 miles, it was around 800 miles leaving from Anvers Island.
